The U4-U8 soccer season is fast approaching and we are very happy to count so many of you again this summer! Activities will start in June, see the schedules on our website for exact dates. We are working on forming the teams and trying to offer practices in each of the four municipalities.
Many of you have volunteered to be coaches, but we are still short. We need coaches in all categories, in all sectors. No experience is necessary. At that age, practices are run by coaches (parent volunteers) with the help of Monitors (Aide Techniques). Coaches are responsible for the overall running of the practice; they encourage players and make sure they are engaged. Monitors will support coaches by setting up the activities, demonstrating the exercises and providing encouragement and feedback to the players (see program description). All drills are already included in our training manual which you will have access to.
A training session will be offered Sunday, May 21 at the Meredith Centre (23 Cecil Road, Chelsea)
9:00am – 9:30am: practices organization
9:30am – 11:00am: technical training on the field
